Originally from Solihull in the West Midlands, Alex trained as an actor at ArtsEd, London and graduated gaining the Rising Star Award in 2018. In June 2018 he won the Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer Of The Year (SSSSPOTY) prize at The Savoy Theatre in London, along with The Mercury Musicals prize for ‘Best New Song’.
Alex was recently part of The Pitlochry Festival Theatre online series #PFTLightHopeJoy, which won ‘Highly Commended Regional Theatre of the Year’ at The 2021 Stage Awards. He is due to work on their 2021 postponed summer season.
In 2019, he originated the role of Dougal in Kit Buchan and Jim Barne’s The Season at The Royal and Derngate, Northampton and The New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich. The Season won the Stiles and Drewe Mentorship award in 2018 and The Stage Debut Award, 2020 for Best Composer or Lyricist. Prior to that he was part of the ensemble for Jamie Lloyd’s critically acclaimed production of Evita at Regents Park Open Air Theatre.

Alex is co-founder and Drummer for the artist driven music society and band ACT Music LDN. The group have performed at the The Arcola Theatre, Cahoots, Mr Foggs in London and The Ale Rooms and Hogarths in the West Midlands. They most recently held a 2 day residency at ‘Bar La Sang‘ in Palma, Mallorca.
